The name Tenob has been associated with the New Zealand marine industry for decades. As well as being a distributor of quality brands Tenob manufacture some of the most recognisable marine products around, their rise and fall outboard brackets can be seen on transoms throughout the country and are distributed world-wide. The Tenob Big Bung is popular with all the OEM boatbulders and is another export success.

In 2014 Tenob was purchased by Marine Direct Ltd and the combined company now has an even wider range of major brands under the one roof. In 2015 they went one step further and purchased Cule Hatches, a company with a fabulous product range that was already highly-regarded by both manufacturers and retailers.
